On January 24, 2007 the Whittier Police Department was advised that the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department had arrested Keith Salisbury, a music teacher, for child sexual abuse of 8 year-old girl.
Salisbury was a contract music instructor who worked at the Whittier Community Center located at 7630 Washington Ave., from the fall of 2005 to the fall of 2006.
The Whittier Police Department will be contacting the parents of the students who were taking guitar lessons at the Whittier Community Center.
It is the City of Whittier’s protocol to fingerprint and submit the prints to the Department of Justice. Salisbury was cleared by the Department of Justice in the fall of 2005.
