The Whittier Police Department is participating in National Police Week by opening its doors to the public. This year, we are combining our efforts with the City of Whittier’s Community Services Department to also provide a “Kids Fit-For-Life” Health Fair. The event will be held on Saturday, May 15th from 9:00 a.m. –1:00 p.m. and will include:
• “Kiddie-K” Fun Run for kids 1-12 years old. Registration opens at 9:00 a.m. on the day of the event. The run begins at 10:00 a.m.
• Live Entertainment
• Whittier Police Department K-9 demonstration
• L.A. County Fire Department “Jaws of Life” demonstration
• Whittier Police Department SWAT Team demonstration
• U.S. Armed Forces/Military equipment and displays
• L.A. County Fire Department static displays
• California Highway Patrol Static Display
• Free medical screenings
• Giveaways & Activities
• Free information on Fitness & Nutrition programs
• Rock Climbing Wall / Bounce House
