Racing Vehicles Crashes into a Tree

On Friday October 13, 2006 at 1236 pm two racing vehicles were observed traveling at a high rate of speed on Beverly Boulevard from Magnolia Ave. One of the vehicles lost control and hit a tree. The driver was later identified as 19 year old Alejandro Romo. Romo was transported to USC Medical Center were he as listed in critical condition. The second vehicle fled from the scene. Witnesses described this vehicle as a white or silver Honda Civic hatchback.
