Hit and Run Kills an Unidentified Pedestrian

On December 24th, at 5:40 p.m., Whittier police officers patrolling the City of Santa Fe Springs responded to the 12100 block of Slauson Ave., regarding a hit and run. As the officers arrived they found an unidentified male who had been struck by a car while walking across the westbound lanes of Slauson Ave. The unidentified black male, died at the scene. The man appeared to be in his fifties and possibly a transient in the area. A light color four door sedan was seen in the area when the accident occurred.
