Whittier, CA - On February 23, 2009 at approximately 5:45 pm, a male subject residing in the 13600 block of Sunrise Dr. exited his residence and allegedly yelled to no one in particular that someone was going to die while holding a shotgun. It was unclear who his statement was directed towards. He then entered his vehicle and drove away from the neighborhood.
Apparently there were media members and a neighbor, present in his vicinity, but his statement was not specific and did not appear to be directed towards anyone in particular. Officers were called to the neighborhood and monitored the area until the subject returned later that evening.
A criminal report was taken for “brandishing a firearm,” a violation of 417 (a) (2) PC.
