Railroad Vandals In Custody
Santa Fe Springs, CA – On February 26th at 4:16pm, Whittier PD officers patrolling Santa Fe Springs, were dispatched to a vandalism is progress call in the 9200 block of Greenleaf Ave. When officers arrived, they were directed to the railroad tracks adjacent to the business, where the vandals “tagged” numerous railroad cars. As officers approached the area, several suspects fled, and a short foot pursuit ensued. Officers eventually took two male juveniles in custody for felony vandalism. During their investigation Whittier PD officers were able to identify the outstanding suspects involved in the incident. Damages are estimated to be in the thousands. The juveniles arrested in this case are Whittier residents.
