Amber Alert CANCELED After Father Taken Into Custody

At 7:00pm, Whittier Detectives accompanied the female victim to the scene of the domestic dispute for additional follow-up. While present at the apartment, the suspect called the victim and announced his intentions to return the children. Moments later, the suspect arrived in the Black Dodge Intrepid and was taken into custody without incident. The three children were returned unharmed to their mother, while Daniel “Louis” Leon was transported to the Whittier Police Department Jail where he was booked for domestic battery, child abduction, and terrorist threats.
