Santa Fe Springs, CA - On October 20, 2010 at approximately 10:45pm, Whittier PD Officers patrolling Santa Fe Springs, responded to the 11500 block of Telegraph Road in regards to a robbery. The victim was confronted by three suspects, one of which wielded a screwdriver. They demanded cash and valuables, and were able to get away with an undisclosed amount of cash. Two of the suspects fled on bicycles, the other on foot. The victim was left uninjured.
A short time later, Whittier PD Officers responded to assist Santa Fe Springs Fire Department on a call of an injured person. The injured person and his two friends coincidentally matched the description of the suspects in the robbery. A field show up with the victim resulted in the positive identification of all three suspects. All three suspects were arrested for robbery and their bicycles were recovered as evidence.
