Santa Fe Springs, CA - On October 9, 2009 at 6:07am, Whittier PD Officers patrolling Santa Fe Springs, responded to a call of a stabbing that had occurred in the parking lot of a business, located at 12020 Rivera road. When officers arrived on scene they received information that the suspect, who is described as a 36 year-old male Hispanic, was inside of the business. A containment was quickly set up by officers and a search was conducted by the Whittier Entry Team, however the suspect was not located.
The victim sustained stab wounds to his left arm and chest. He was taken to an area hospital, where he was treated and released. At this time the suspect is still outstanding.
