On October 24th at 1:45pm, a suspect knocked on an elderly victim’s door in the 15500block of Fernview Drive and asked for change for a $100.00 bill. Believing the subject is a contractor she hired to work on a brick wall, she allowed him in and escorted the subject to a rear bedroom and pulled five(5) twenty dollar bills from her money pouch. When she asked the subject for the $100.00 bill he told her to come outside so he can show her what he was going to do to her backyard wall. The suspect then instructed the victim to hold on to a measuring tape and told her to maintain her position while he relocated. After several minutes, the victim became suspicious and walked around to the front. Seconds later, she saw the subject get into his truck and drive away. Once back inside, she found the suspect had stolen the remaining money from her pouch for a total loss of $500.00.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his 20’s wearing a green hat, dark shirt, and blue jeans. He was driving a purplish-blue newer full size pick-up truck.
