Fatal Traffic Collision

Whittier, CA - On August 15, 2010 at approximately 9:50pm, Whittier PD Officers responded to a traffic collision in the area of Whittier Blvd. and Philadelphia St. When officers arrived on scene they found a small pick-up truck had collided into a tree. The driver was trapped inside the truck and had to be extracted by LA County Fire personnel. A short time later the female driver succumbed to her injuries at a nearby hospital. The collision is currently being investigated by the Whittier PD Traffic Bureau.
