Burglar in Custody

On 09/04/06, at 2:00 pm, Whittier Police Officers received a call of a male subject who was possibly under the influence of narcotics in the 5500 block of Brookmead Drive. When officers first arrived they were unable to locate the subject however, after a second call, he was located and identified as David Reyes of Anaheim (08/24/76). When Reyes was contacted, he began fighting with officers but was easily subdued. While investigating further, officers learned that Reyes had committed a residential burglary in the area. He was subsequently booked for this offense, as well as resisting arrest, and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
