The Whittier Police Department is seeking a robbery suspect after he fled the Radio Shack located at 11863 Whittier Boulevard. On March 4th at approximately 7pm, the suspect entered the electronics store and at first pretended to be a normal shopper. The manager becomes suspicious of the suspect when he asks for several high priced MP3 players. While the manger was retrieving the items, the suspect removes a handgun, walks behind the counter and points the gun at the manager’s midsection. He orders the manager to fill a bag with MP3 players and demands he open the cash drawer. After opening the cash drawer, the suspect empties the drawer into a bag and flees the store.
The suspect was seen entering the passenger side of a newer model, white crossover type vehicle which flees west on Whittier Blvd. A search of the area was conducted; however the suspect and vehicle were not located. The suspect was described as a male Hispanic with a shaved head, 5'6, 130lbs, tattoos above his right eye and neck, wearing dark clothing.
