On August 23rd at 9:15 pm, Whittier Police Officers responded to a call of a burglary alarm at East Whittier Middle School, located at 14421 Whittier Blvd.. When they arrived, several suspects fled from a classroom while dropping computer parts. Officers initiated a foot pursuit of one suspect but eventually lost him in the area of Second Avenue and Davista Drive. A containment was established and a search was conducted, however no suspects were located. K-9 units from Whittier, La Habra PD, Pasadena PD, South Pasadena PD and Monterey Park PD also assisted in concert with the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department Aero Unit.
