Power Outage in Whittier

Yesterday, Southern California Edison had a fuse blow somewhere in the Whittier area near East Whittier Middle School. They planned on repairing it today. While attempting to repair the fuse this morning they had to pull additional fuses which left the area temporarily without power. This caused some instability with the existing circuits. As a precautionary measure, school officials elected to evacuate the school and send the students home.
