Drive by Shooting

On April 2, 2007 at 1:06 am local gang member, was walking in the area of Santa Fe Springs Rd. and Lambert Rd. when he was shot two times from a vehicle. He was hit in both thighs, and he went to 7-11 to call police. The victim was uncooperative with the responding officers, and had to be restrained during treatment for his gun shot wound. He described the suspect’s vehicle as a late 80’s Chrysler, cream colored. After the shooting call went out, a citizen in the area of Shoemaker/Foxley called regarding a suspicious circumstances. Officers responded to that call and located a rifle that had been put into a recycling bin at a residence. Also thrown away was clothing that matched that of the shooter’s. The victim was taken to St. Francis Hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.
