Santa Fe Springs - On August 6, 2008 at 4:17 pm, officers responded to a report of vandalism in progress at the Santa Fe Springs Aquatic Center and Library. When officers arrived, they located the suspect leaving the location on a skateboard. When the suspect noticed the officers, he fled on foot. Whittier Officers and Santa Fe Springs Public Safety Officers gave chase and were able to take the suspect into custody. The suspect, a 15-year old male Downey resident, was identified by witnesses and arrested for vandalism. Two additional juveniles were detained and released to their parents. The suspect spray painted walls and doors at both facilities.

We hope the parents will be held responsible for thier children - no not children they are young adults.
