Santa Fe Springs - On August 30, 2008 at 8:15 pm, officers responded to a call of a suspicious person in the back yard of a business in the 11600 block of Pike Street. Officers surrounded the business and located a suspect that was in the process of stealing metal. The suspect collected a large amount of metal and was about to load it on a truck that was backed up to the fence. Alvidez, Walter (1-28-62) from Pico Rivera was arrested for grand theft.
