Female Arrested for Grand Theft Auto

While checking the Transportation Depot (7333 Greenleaf Avenue) for parking violations, this morning at 4:30am, a Whittier Parking Enforcement Officer checked the interior of a Chevy Blazer and noticed a female sleeping. He also noticed an open container of alcohol near the female and therefore requested a Police Officer assist him. An Officer arrived on scene and requested a registration check that indicated the vehicle was stolen on 07-08-09. The victim responded to the scene and positively identified the female as the suspect who initially stole the car. Regina Rodriguez (DOB 5-11-74) of Whittier was arrested for Grand Theft Auto.
