On July 26th, a female teenager decided to throw a birthday party in the area of 10300 Deveron Street while her parents were out of town. The female’s cousin invited some friends to the party that were unknown to her and a short while later, one of the friends took offense to a male talking to his girlfriend. This led to a fight in the rear yard and the first victim, Chris Morales, 20, of Montebello was hit in the head with a beer bottle. The victim’s friends came to his aid and the fight grew in numbers while it moved out to the front of the house.
During the altercation to the front, a second victim, Joshua Fernandez, 20, of Montebello was stabbed by the same male suspect above his right eye, the left side of his neck, and in his left torso. The second victim was transported to USC Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries and is expected to make a full recovery. The female teenager believes the suspect’s name is “Raymond," and was described him as a male Hispanic, 20-23, 5'03", and 120, wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.
