Two Men Arrested For Narcotics and Weapons

While patrolling the area of 15000 Lambert Road on July 8th at 8:00pm, a Whittier Police Officer made a traffic stop on an '07 BMW. The driver was recently discharged from parole and his female passenger was on active parole. The driver admitted to possessing marijuana and both subjects were removed from the car while consent was granted to the officer to search it. Using a Police Service Dog, a loaded 9mm handgun was found underneath the spare tire and an unloaded short barreled shotgun was found wrapped in a vinyl-like material in the trunk. Tina Nolan, 26, of Riverside and Matthew Walker, 36 or Baldwin Park were arrested for various drug and weapons charges.
