On June 13, 2006 at 2:58 PM, family members who had responded from the east coast to clean out their love one’s home after he had passed on, found a real surprise in the rafters. As they looked up in the rafters of the garage, they saw what they immediately recognized as a hand-grenade. The Bomb Squad responded to the 5600 block of Adele Avenue and carefully examined the device. They observed that the bottom appeared to have been drilled, which is a common method to render these devices inactive. To be on the safe side, the bomb squad will x-rayed the device. It will be disposed of after they determine whether it is real or fake.
