On July 18, 2008 at 7:50 p.m. two drivers got involved in an argument in the area of Beverly Boulevard and the 605 freeway over a driving incident. During the argument, the suspect exhibited a firearm and fired a projectile at the victim. The victim was not struck. After receiving the information from the victim, officers began an exhaustive search for the suspect. Officers were able to locate the suspect vehicle in the area of Hadley and Whittier Boulevard. The investigation indicated that the suspect used an "air soft" handgun that shoots plastic pellets. The suspect, Angel Martinez (8-12-86) from La Puente, was arrested for California Vehicle Code section 23110(b), throwing missile with intent to do serious bodily harm - a felony.
