Prop 8 Protesters Turn Violent

On November 3rd at 9:15pm approximately 100 “No” and “Yes” protesters converged on the corners of Painter Ave. and Whittier Blvd. while several officers monitored the activity. Just after 9:00pm, Carlos Gallegos (6/7/51 of Hacienda Heights) got upset at an opposing protester, grabbed her by the arm and physically moved her out of his way. Other protesters claimed that Gallegos was swinging wildly at them and the victim made a citizens arrest. Gallegos was taken into custody and transported to WPD for booking.
