Robbery Foiled by Observant Employee

While working at Carl's Jr. (13157 Telegraph Rd.) on 12/10/08 at nearly midnight, the manager saw a suspicious vehicle casing the location and feared that a robbery was about to take place. The manager took the money from the register and took it into the office where she locked herself inside. The manager’s hunch was right; as soon as she locked herself in, the passenger of the vehicle, who was now at the drive through window, climbed through the opened window and went back to the office, knocked on the door and demanded entry. The manager kept quiet as she called 911. The suspect was wearing a face mask, bandanna, rubber gloves and was carrying a handgun. Realizing he wasn’t going to get anything, he ran out the front door and got in the car and the vehicle took off in a northbound direction. The vehicle was described as a dark Honda. Both suspects were described a males and both were wearing face masks.
