Homeless Man Found Dead

On the afternoon of March 22nd, the Whittier Police Department received a call from security staff at the Quad (8510 Central Avenue). Initially, they indicated a homeless man was sleeping to the rear of Ralph's by the dumpsters, however while officers were responding, security called back to report the man was not breathing. Arriving on scene, Officers discovered the homeless man was dead on arrival. The man was identified as Thomas Michael Pfaffenberger, (DOB 9/11/62). Even though preliminary investigation revealed the man had been deceased for two days, there was no evidence of foul play. Ultimately, the Los Angeles County Coroner would take custody of the deceased.
