Whittier Police Detectives served two simultaneous search warrants on April 16, 2009. One warrant was served in the 10700 block of Bonnavista and the other in the 13600 block of Lakeland. Detectives recovered 11 weapons including an assault rifle, approximately $20,000 in cash, and methamphetamines.
Arrested were: Steven Mercado (10-13-80), Robert Mercado (10-10-83), Christina Mercado (5-21-86), Laura Robles (5-21-86), Guillermo Espinoza (4-7-75).
