Short Pursuit Leads to Arrest of Motorcyclist

While patrolling in the area of "Five Points," (Whittier Blvd. & Santa Fe Springs Rd.) a Whittier Police Officer saw a motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed as it traveled westbound on Whittier Blvd. Moments later, another Officer saw the motorcycle traveling southbound on Santa Fe Springs Rd. and attempted a traffic stop, however, the rider failed to yield and a pursuit started. As the motorcycle arrived at Lambert Road, he was slowed by stopped traffic, boxed in, and taken into custody without incident. Tommy Trevino 3-1-83 was booked for misdemeanor evading.
