On July 7, 2006 at 5:07 p.m. officers responded to a 911 call of a baby not breathing at a residence in the 5400 block of Norwalk Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers determined that the baby was choaking and observed it turning blue. Knowing that paramedics were still a few minutes away, the officers transported the baby to the hospital while performing CPR. Due to the quick actions of the officers, the baby is now listed in stable condition.
All persons should be familiar with CPR procedures in case of an emergency. Check out the American Red Cross guidlines for emergency care and education.
