Laundry Room Arrest

On July 25th at 3:45pm, Whittier Police Officers were called to the laundry room at 7312 Newlin Avenue where a citizen reported a suspect inside a laundry room at the location. The citizen was first alerted when he heard the sound of a suspect breaking into the coin operated machines. Officers arrived and found the suspect in the laundry room with a gym bag containing burglary tools. One of the coin boxes was later found in a trash can. It appears the suspect attempted to pry the coin boxes the previous day and returned to finish the job. Detectives were notified of the arrest and handled the interrogation.
