False ADT Alarm Salesmen

Recently, a resident of Whittier had 2 people come to his door trying to sell an ADT alarm system and asked to reconfigure his (existing) alarm system. Suspicious, the resident contacted ADT and was told they DO NOT send people door to door. The Whittier Police Department would like to caution residents of Whittier and Santa Fe Springs of this obvious fraud. Furthermore, NEVER allow anyone access to your home without validation of credentials and their purpose for their visit to your home.
