Sentence Issued

On November 15, 2004, David Belman initiated a racially motivated confrontation in Uptown Whittier which resulted in Belman stabbing his victim multiple times. Approximately one year later, Belman was arrested and extradited from Colorado to stand trial on attempt murder charges in Whittier. Today, Belman accepted a plea bargain and was sentenced to five years in prison.
