Suicidal Subject Taken into Custody

On August 11, 2006 at 4 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 10100 block of Pounds regarding a suicidal subject that was armed with a gun. Upon arrival, officers confronted a male subject in the doorway of the house, holding a butcher knife and threatening suicide. Officers were able to convince the subject to disarm and were able to take him into custody. He was transported to a hospital for a mental evaluation.
